For MHAs, MHA will be able to maintain their participation in the USPS noncareer health plan in the first year of employment. The Post Office will continue to pay $125 per salary period for self-insurance, but according to the preliminary agreement, the postal service will pay much more – 65% of the total premium for each MHA who chooses to participate in the NONCAReer USPS plan for auto-plus-one or family coverage. On Thursday, July 30, 2009, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs voted by 12 to 1 to page 1507 (Postal Service Retiree Health Benefits Funding Reform Act of 2009), which would provide financial facilities to the post office. An amendment proposed by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) requiring the arbitrator to take into account the financial health of the post office in the postal union contract decision was added prior to its adoption. Senator Joe Lieberman (ID-CT), chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, and Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE), chairman of the Federal Subcommittee on Financial Management, Government Information, Federal Services and International Security, supported the amendment and voted with Republicans to pass it. The American Postal Workers Union, the National Association of Letter Carriers, the National Rural Letter Carriers` Association and the NPMHU voted against S. 1507. “This agreement is balanced. It addresses the negotiating objectives of both parties in a fiscally responsible manner,” said Doug Tulino, Vice President of Industrial Relations. Below is a summary of the interim agreement between NPMHU and the Post Office to define the terms of the 2019 National Agreement. At the national level, NPMHU is headquartered in Washington D.C to manage the Union and implement programs and policies mandated by the Constitution and the National Executive Board.
Among the national sensan officers are the national president and the national secretary. For the first time since 1996, the Post Office and NPMHU have agreed to release the lump sums paid for night differences in each grade and salary scale each year from the contract. Under this agreement, all night differences will increase by 2% per year in May 2020, May 2021 and May 2022. NPMHU is a division of the International Union of Laboratories of North America, both members of the AFL-CIO Federation. The Handler Mail are also linked to the International Communications Union and the Employees Relief Fund. All other declarations of intent and letters of intent, including the agreement on the appeal of the remaining positions, have been continued, with the exception of some casual worker agreements that remain in force until all casual workers are eliminated, but which will then be withdrawn from the 2019 national agreement as obsolete. Article 12.5 is specified to ensure that meetings on possible movements of mail customers take place at the regional level and that local union representatives can participate. NPMHU is a national organization of collaborators who work to promote the interests of their members and their families. The main purpose of the Union is to negotiate and enforce a national agreement with the US Postal Service, a contract that sets wages, wages and other wage increases, working conditions and ancillary benefits for all workers under its jurisdiction. The Union also protects workers` rights by representing them in the face of everyday problems in the workplace, such as discipline, elder service violations, discrimination or other abuses against leaders, and deals with concepts such as safety, health and the effects of technological change. The interim agreement provides for a single transformation of MMAs into facilities of 200 years or more, with conversion expected within 60 days of ratification.
